The Custer County weed District was formed to help landowners with noxious weed management. We offer technical assistance and provide integrated management options to private landowners, state and federal agencies. We provide chemical sales and applications for landowners as well as right of way management for the Montana Department of Transportation and Custer County. The Custer County Weed Board has established a cost share program for chemicals applied to noxious weeds, and also has a loaner program for spray equipment.
The district is governed by a five-member board appointed by the Custer County Commissioners. The regular meeting schedule for this board is the first Wednesday of February, April, June, August, October, and December. Meetings are held in the Custer County Extension Office and begin at 5:30 p.m.
