The Custer County Attorney’s office is the legal representative for Custer County. The Custer County Attorney’s duties include, but are not limited to representing the County in civil suits, providing legal advice to County personnel, representing the State of Montana in child abuse and neglect cases, and prosecuting crimes committed in Custer County. Specifically, the Custer County Attorney prosecutes all felonies occurring within the county limits, and all misdemeanors occurring within the county, yet outside the limits of Miles City, Montana.
